- 1 cup oat flour or pulse rolled oats in food processor
- 1/4 cup peanut butter smooth, all natural, no artificial sweeteners
- 1/4 cup finely crumbled crisp bacon, fat trimmed
- 1 banana very ripe, mashed
- 1 large egg
Preheat your oven to 350 F.
In a medium bowl, use a hand mixer to fully combine the oat flour, banana, peanut butter, egg, and crumbled bacon.
On a clean flat surface, roll out the dough mixture to about 1/3 inch thickness. Or roll them thicker, and cook a little longer.
Use your cookie cutter to cut the individual biscuits, or shape with hands, and place them onto a parchment-lined or non-stick cookie sheet. (If you need to lightly grease your cookie sheet, use a small amount of olive oil.)
Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden and dry.

Recently we just watched the Disney movie Togo. It is a must family friend movie to watch. Its about the loyalty, honor, determination and love a dog has for its owner. Not just anyone. The one who saved them.
This year we adopted a new little pup this year named Skye. She is loving and adorable in every way possible, always eager to greet us with kisses the moment we walk through the front door. Two weeks ago, she had to have an eye removed and I had captured these pictures prior. One week ago, we had to put our older dog down. Dogs are forever always a part of us and teach us so many valuable things, especially how to love.
We have always provided our pups with natural foods to keep them strong and healthy. And one of my favorites is making these no-bake dog treats or giving our pup frozen or fresh pineapple to nibble on. I have been especially giving these homemade dog treats to our dog to help her as her eye heals thanks to all the health benefits of turmeric, coconut oil and cinnamon.
Health benefits of peanut butter & coconut oil dog treats
These tasty no bake dog treats are flavored with cinnamon and turmeric, which is optional to add. My family loves cinnamon added in all of our "human" no-bake nut butter snacks. It adds a little bit of spice and satisfying flavor which compliments peanut butter. Not only are these spices good for flavor they have intense healing powers.
Turmeric is a spice that helps to prevent and even reduce tumors, reduces inflammation, decreases risk of cancers, heart disease and symptoms of depression. It is a rich antioxidant to aid in healing the body and fighting off disease [source].
Cinnamon is a wonderful anti-inflammatory spice. It is high in antioxidants, helps regulate hormones and supports a healthy heart [source].
Coconut Oil can help with weight loss and is packed with omegas to support a healthy brain, prevents candida, boosts digestion, reduce cardiovascular risks, and in animals especially, helps to give them a shiny fur coat [source].
Organic Valencia Peanut Butter is packed with protein and minerals. Make sure to use organic Valencia peanuts. Valencia peanuts are grown in Mexico where the climate is dry and mold most likely does not effect the peanut. Other varieties (even just organic) may have harmful molds in them during production [source].
If you have a smaller dog you can break them up into smaller pieces and give them in small bites at a time. There are various molds to use such as these larger dog biscuit shapes but you can also use small squares.
Here is the dog biscuit mold I used and I also recommend these trays for smaller ones.

Instructions
In a microwaveable bowl, add the peanut butter, coconut oil, cinnamon and turmeric and heat for 30 seconds-1 minute until slightly melted. You can also do this on the stove top by whisking it together in a small saucepan over low heat.
Whisk to combine, then using a ladle scoop it into the silicone molds to fill slightly over half way full. For biscuits this makes 5 or equivalent to 1 cup. Do not fill too high or it will spill over.
Transfer to a freezer keeping the silicon mold flat to harden evenly. Freezer for 25 minutes or until hardened. Once hard, transfer to a freezer bag and store in the freezer.
Notes
Items Needed for No Bake Treats:
